Written Examination subject to the rule of reservation of appointments
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION (OMR METHOD) (OBJECTIVE TYPE):
Test Duration: 3 hours Tests Test Marks: 300
Single paper in General Studies – 200 Questions Degree Standard (Subject Code – 301)
  • General Studies – 150 Questions
  • Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (SSLC Standard)- 50 Questions
B. MAIN WRITTEN EXAMINATION (DESCRIPTIVE TYPE) AND ORAL TEST
Compulsory Subjects
Paper- I : General Studies (Degree Standard) (Code No: 302)-200 Marks
Paper- II :General English (S.S.L.C Standard) (Code No: 282)-100 Marks
Any two optional Subjects from the list of 21 Subjects:-
Paper-III: Optional Subject – 1 -300 Marks
Paper-IV : Optional Subject – 2 -300 Marks

Detailed Eligibility:

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission. AND
    The applicants should be an approved probationer in the post held by them in the parent department and with service for a period of not less than three years after acquiring
  • Bachelor’s Degree either in the category of Junior Assistant or in the category of Assistant or in both the categories put together, in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or in the Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service as on 01.08.2017.
Note:-
  • The educational qualification prescribed for this post should have been obtained by
    passing the required qualification in the order of studies 10th + HSC or its equivalent + U.G. degree.
